Documents required for Italy Visa:
- Passport: The applicant must provide an original passport with 1 copy of pages 2 & 3 (i.e the pages containing only the passport and personal data) It should be valid for at least 3 months after planned departure date from Schengen area with minimum two blank pages for visa stamp.
- Photograph: Taken within the last 6 months. The photo size must be 4.0 x 3.5 cm with a plain white background. Must be facing the camera in the photo for the whole face to be seen. A hijab or uniform is not permitted.
- Schengen “C” Type Visa Application Form: Form must be duly filled in English or Italian, and signed by the applicant.
- Invitation letter: Letters of invitation must be written on official company letterhead, stamped and signed, and must clearly state the following: the purpose and duration of the visit; the name and position of the countersigning officer (as stated in the Companies’ Registry “Visura camerale”, see the point below) and who will cover the applicant’s living and travel expenses; and whether the sponsor provides financial assurance for the applicant’s return to Bangladesh. A copy of the ID or passport page on which the countersigning officer’s signature appears is required under Italian law. We only accept invitation letters that follow the guidelines in the relevant VFS section. Encouraging companies could also expect to get a scanned copy of the invitation letter by official mail at visti.dhaka@esteri.it in PDF format.
- Inviting Company’s Registration (Visura Camerale): The Company’s Registration (“Visura Camerale”) must be issued by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and may not be older than 6 months.
- Personal Bank Statement: Evidence of sufficient funds for the visit to Italy the applicant must have 6 month’s Bank statement with a solvency certificate
- Company Bank Statement: Company Bank Statement for the last 6 months. Trade license issued by City Corporation and Incorporation Certificate issued by Office of Registrar of Joint Stock Company
- Employment letter, Original: A letter from the employer, written in English on official company letterhead bearing seal, signature, and date, introducing the business person and explicitly stating the following: applicant’s name, position, salary, and years of service; countersigning officer’s name and position within the employing company; approval for leave of absence; confirmation of position upon return; and the person or entity covering living and travel expenses during the visit. If self-employed: In addition to the documents already mentioned, income tax return.
- Civil Status Documents: For married applicants- marriage cerftificate, for divorced applicants- divorced certificate, and for widowers or widows- death certificate of the spouse in English.
- For Non-Bangladeshi applicants: Further than all documents listed on the present check-list, a Bangladeshi Residence Permit valid at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States
- Travel Insurance: Must be valid for the whole Schengen area. The insurance must cover medical fees, hospitalization and repatriation costs up to 30,000 Euros. The insurance must fully cover the whole period of stay within the Schengen area
- Return Airline Ticket Itinerary: Return airline ticket booking with Passenger Registration Number or Reservation Number and travel itinerary
- Hotel Reservation: Hotel Confirmation or any other documents proving accommodation for the whole period of stay in the Schengen member States
Note:
Visa processing time entirely depends upon the time taken by the visa office while processing each visa application to its merit and may take longer than the tentative processing time.
